Maybe he is a hypocrite - but he didn't leave a woman to drown in car to save his own behind like a certain senator from Massachusetts. BTW - he was married at the time as well and we can only speculate based upon past histories what the intent was with this other woman. If we can allow a guy who can get away with criminally negligent manslaughter be a senator for 45 years, then I think 90% of everyone else should pretty much get a pass too.

What bothers me is the hypocrasy of it all. If he had an affair, it is between him and his wife. But he shouldn't call for the removal of another for an affair when he is doing the same.

The Love Veterinarian.... ladies watch out! What is up with all of these slimballs? I can only assume they were like this before they reached office, but for some bizarre reason, no one took notice? Or perhaps the power they get when being elected makes them turn into extra slimy slimeballs. Republican, Democrat, I just don't think it matters. These guys all seem to think with the wrong brain.

I agree.

What makes it a tad worse for the Republicans is the "family values" deal, I think they would do well to shelve that for the time being.

Well, I didn't vote for him and wouldn't have either if I lived in MA!

What about the pass Marian Berry got after being caught red handed on tape using drugs? How many times was he re-elected to be mayor of DC after that?

How about the pass OJ Simpson got??

NOPE, 90% of everyone else should NOT get a pass just because having money, fame & influence sometimes buys a pass for someone in a serious pickle.

Oh, I don't have any "mitigating circumstances". I know that Ensign was married but separated at the time of the affair but that is no excuse, the woman was married.

I think the fact that the chick's husband extorted money from Ensign pretty much sucks but it does not excuse Ensign in the least.

I just wondered as your OP sounded so hateful like you really hated this guy's guts. I just can't find it inside me to hate anyone, let alone a total stranger.

Ensign is a cad and an adulterer but:

Yeah I don't really consider OJ part of the 90%. And how awesome is it that he's in jail again! That was in Vegas too! Dunh dunh duuuuuuunh! Anyway, to me, OJ and Phil Spector are part of the 10% No Pass group.

But Ensign, Sanford (who I wish would just shut up!!!!), Edwards, and yes even Clinton-Pass on infidelities.
