Who needs those pore-cleaning nose strips?

Genever was on the computer chair last night as she often is, giving herself a nice bath, and I went over, sat on the floor and was watching her through between the seat and the arm, I wanted to make sure she wasn't biting at herself too much (we noticed a red nipple 2 nights ago- want to make sure it's not getting worse or she's not biting it!) So after maybe 5 minutes of gooming and looking at me and gooming and looking at me, she finally lay down with her head toward mine and reached out her arm for what i thought would be a swat in the face for staring, but no, she just wanted to bring my face closer so she could begin cleaning my nose! Ouch that kitty tongue sure is rough on the face! But i said thank you anyway when she was done. Nice of her to take care of my dirty nose!

Ouch! I feel your pain!
On the rare occasions that Pearl comes for a cuddle, she will lick my face and neck nearly raw. I don't want to stop her because it seems to hurt her little feelings, but I am always glad when I can distract her with a treat. I usually have to get DH to bring me the treats so I don't have to disturb her and make her run away.

that's so funny! Speck used to knead and lick our necks when he was a kitten. It tickled but mostly it hurt! He doesn't do it anymore and now I miss it. Sigh* My baby's grown up....

: thats SO funny!! I cant get my Tabitha off our computer chair but she doesn't do that !! When Daisy and i are having what i call "A Mummy Moment" she will stretch out her paw to touch me face, although she doesn't always keep her claws in !
