Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I'm really hoping some sort of magic or blessings will come out of this forum post.
4 weeks ago, I watched as a feral cat brought me her 3 three week old kittens and left them on my doorstep. I'd been feeding her, and I honestly think she recognized me as someone who would make sure her kittens were taken care of (she has since been trapped, spayed, and released).
I bottle fed the kittens for about a week, and then they started eating their KMR off of a plate (hallelujah!) and using the litterbox (double hallelujah!). I have managed to adopt out one of them to an amazing home in a local artist community, but the other two are still waiting. I am DESPERATE to re-home them. I already have cats of my own, and the house is getting/feeling very crowded with two more mouths to feed. They're spoiled rotten, completely socialized, and cleared of all major or minor health problems.
My own adult kitties have been incredibly patient, watching the kittens grow and waiting for them to GO, and it's time I let my boys have the run of the house again.
The snag I run into again and again is finding homes where the kittens will be kept as INDOOR ONLY cats. I worked 8 years at a humane society and saw firsthand just how many cats end up sick with FIV/FeLV, squashed in the road, mauled by wild animals, trapped and sent to the shelter by neighbors, poisoned, shot, or otherwise maimed/killed. I am a staunch "indoors only" cat person and that has, again, made it difficult to re-home these babies. I figured if anyone could help me work a miracle, it would be all those cat lovers out there in cyberspace.

If you can offer prayers, advice, or, hey...a home(!) for these two darlings, I would be very, very grateful. I'm willing to "deliver" within Missouri/Illinois/Indiana/Tennessee/Kentucky, and I'm willing to make arrangements for any place beyond those states. Spread the word!
