Sweet! My hubby knows if he wants to make something up to me then he buys me a gift certificate for books! I'm not a big flower fan!

That's so sweet.

I'm with you Ady, not a big flower fan. Generally I think they are a waste of money, but that's just me. All they do is look pretty then die. Give me a book or DVD or better yet a CAT TOY!

I like flowers just because i dont get them often and they look pretty for awhile. Sometimes I dry them and then i have them forever

It's the thought that counts and roses are expensive too...That would have made me happy to get anything from my husband after a fight...even a McDonalds Value Meal would put a smile on my face

That's so sweet of him! I LOVE getting flowers! Alex doesn't do it very often, but when he does I always make a huge deal of it in the hopes that he'll take a hint and do it more often. LOL.
So far I don't think he's gotten it.

Sicycat -- I dry mine, too. I have saved and dried one rose from every bouquet Alex has ever given me. I keep them in a huge empty Godiva tin that I kept (that he also gave me), along with all the notes and letters he has written me.

Flowers? What are those? Only ones I get are when I walk by the display in Winco and decide to pick them up for myself. I think he bought me carnations, once, from Winco, last year sometime

My mom hates roses...she's kind of allergic to them. So now if we get her flowers or anything, it's more along the lines of a rose BUSH, not just roses. They don't seem to bother her if they are outside. I don't want to rain on your parade here, but my grandpa never got my grandma roses...he said roses were for dead ppl! lol I mean if I got roses from someone, I'd be happy that it was actually flowers of some kind. My dad has only gotten my mom maybe like 2 or 3 bouquets of flowers, one was a rose bouquet for sure, but I don't know about the other two, and they have been married for 28 yrs in August. So I don't really associate flowers with anything. If someone was gonna get me flowers, I'd say get me a plant instead. That way, it lasts longer, and I can really have it forever! lol Just my opinion!

Hubby has only sent me flowers once since we've known each other. I wish that he would send them to me more often because I really like getting them.

Right here! :)
How sweeet! I love getting flowers, allthought I also feel bad because they are so expensive (flowers in other countries are FREE compared to the flowers here!).
I am also very happy to recieve something else, just when my s/o thinks up something to bring me is so very nice! (he quite often brings me something)

After re-reading my post, it sounds like I'm kind of b****y, but I'm not, honest!!! Anyways, I'm happy you got roses, Princess Purr! I'm sure they are beautiful! I'm just not used to seeing actual live flowers in the house, and so I have a wierd outlook on them. Maybe some day a s/o will give me some....but I think I like plants better. Sorry to sound so grouchy
