Hi! I was in a Petsmart the other day and a product specialist for Blue Buffalo stated talking to me about their Longevity line of cat food. They say it is designed to keep your cat healthy throughout its lifetime because it uses lean protein and only enough calories to satisfy rather than over-satisfy. It's weight management for life as opposed to a weight control formula that you use when your cat is overweight. It comes in Kitten, Adult & Mature. Here are the ingredients. What do you think?

Deboned Whitefish, Salmon Meal (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), Whole Ground Brown Rice, Menhaden Fish Meal (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), Peas, Chicken Fat (naturally preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Citric Acid),Oatmeal, Whole Ground Barley, Eggs, Potatoes, Natural Fish Flavor, Oat Bran, Carrots, Spinach, Broccoli, Tomatoes (natural source of Lycopene), Apples, Cranberries, Blueberries, Flaxseed (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), Barley Grass, Turmeric, Rice Bran, Dried Kelp, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Alfalfa, Parsley, Salt, Sunflower Oil (natural source of Omega 6 Fatty Acids), Salmon Oil (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), L-Lysine, Taurine, Beta-Carotene, Vitamin A Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Niacin (Vitamin B3), d-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Biotin (Vitamin B7), Folic Acid (Vitamin B9), Vitamin B12 Supplement, Calcium Ascorbate (source of Vitamin C), Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Iron Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Iron), Zinc Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Zinc), Manganese Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Manganese), Copper Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Copper), Cobalt Proteinate (source of Chelated Cobalt), Sodium Selenite, Calcium Iodate, Black Malted Barley, Choline Chloride, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus faecium, Rosemary Extract.

It is a solid food but the claims IMHO are just marketing of possibly another all stage food

I bought this food since it seemed more healthy than Chicken Soup which my cats wouldn't eat even though I was trying to feed them better than dry friskies. They also won't eat the Longevity, and won't eat any premium dry food I buy. It's back to dry friskies which they love. It doesn't matter how healthy the food is, if they won't eat it. I've also been feeding FF wet twice daily. Petco had a special on the new gourmet wet friskies, BOGO. I didn't think they would eat it because its a pate food not sliced. They love it. Go figure. Its ingredients seem better than FF and its in a larger can which would feed them 2 meals. I'll see how it goes. I've never had luck with the premium wet no matter what brand. Money is not the object but they need to eat the food.

Which other foods have you tried? it unfortunately can take awhile for cats to upgrade, years ago i did have success with getting my senior cat to change from her purina cat chow to nutro...

fwiw though i still use friskies wet foods for the majority of my cats they will not eat a better grade
but do eat higher end drys so i think that helps to balance it all out.
