A few weeks ago, a stray kitten showed up at DH's office. DH has been feeding him and yestereday saw him cross the busy highway. So we made the decision to bring him home ASAP. He was surprisingly easy to catch and cage. Right now, he's at the vet being neutered (poor baby). He tested negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. We hadn't planned on any more kittens, but there was really nothing else we could do. He seems very sweet. He's black and white. I named him Marshmallow, though we may call him Smudge. He has a little smudge spot on his face. I think Speck will love him. Daisy is going to have a cow. I am not looking forward to the introduction process. The oddest thing is, he looks like Daisy. Not in color, because she is a torti, but in features. Daisy is an odd looking cat. She has a long pointed nose and a wrinkly sort of chin. So does Marshmallow. They came from the same place...she was a stray at the business next door to DH's. I wonder if they could be related somehow. Anyhow, sorry for the long post. Please wish us luck with the new kitten. He'll be home in a few days...he's staying at the vet to recover until I have time off work to be here with him.

Bless you for taking in another stray! I hope everyone gets along and I am sure it will all work out.

Thanks! He will be here on Thursday. I am really looking foward to it. I don't know him well, but he seems sweet and full of himself.
