Daily Question.................03/30/09

Good morning my dear friends…

Today I have the privilege to post here your daily question for the Lounge…
I want to mention that all questions here are just for the unique porpoise of fun and of course, to stay in touch with all members, and to know what do you think about it…
of course sometimes some questions are a kind of silly but funniest in the bottom!..
… so lets begin…

do you remember this one?...
http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=199761
Keeping with the Cell phones topic I´m really interesting about your opinion of this...

When you drive and "RING" your cell phone, do you STOP and respond? OR you take the call-driving?...
Have you ever get a fine for made this?...
Do you use handsfree?is wire or wireless?

...So, start to post here!...
...

I just don't answer my cell phone while I'm driving unless I'm expecting an important call. Even then, I'd probably tell the caller to hold on until I had a chance to pull over or else I'd call them back later.

I rarely take my phone with me and I hate trying to talk on the phone in a car anyway.
If it is with me and rings, I let it go, and call them back when I get to where I'm going.

I use to but don't anymore I just let it go to voicemail.

They are presently working to make it illegal to use cell phones when driving here in Canada and from the looks of things it will most likely pass because a number of areas already have the law on the books.

Few people call my cell phone, so when it does ring, it's usually important.

I answer (handsfree) and pull over.

If its a txt msg, I leave it till I'm at a stop light, then look at it.... if it NEED a response, I pull over and respond.

I can't wait for that. It so irks me to see people on the phone and obviously oblivious to the traffic. It's under discussion here (BC) and I think the only real question left is whether it will be a total ban or allow hands-free. IMO it should be total -- it's not about where your hands are, it's about where your brain is.

But I digress -- fortunately, anyone who would have my cell number knows how I feel about cell phone use while driving, and would not be surprised by a delay in answering (while pulling in to the curb) or finding themselves in voicemail. No, I do not answer, while in motion; if I happen to be stopped at a light, I'll answer to say I'll call back when I can get over to the curb.

If my cell rings while driving I pull over if possible and then take the call. There is a stiff penalty here if caught while on the phone while driving. I have never been caught doing it and it really irks me when I see others yakking away when they know it's against the law. Where are the police cars when you want them.

If I'm driving and the phone rings, I normally wait until I get to wear I'm going and have a chance to part to answer it or return my phone call. If it's important, I use the speaker setting on my phone so i'm not holding it while i'm driving.

All I am going to say is when I got into my car accident I was on my phone. Mind you SHE hit ME!! But I am sure if I was not on my phone I would have been able to react faster.

I rarely have my cell phone on, so nobody ever calls it. I've used it while driving in the parking lot at work, but I don't use it when I drive on the road. I'd love to see laws passed to make it illegal to talk or text while driving.

Talking and texting while driving are illegal here. Except for hands free calls.

I drive a manual and don't have hands free so couldn't really answer even if I wanted to.
