Catch As CAT Can

Sorry,very punny.

Alley just loves to chase me then hide(usually in the empty bathtub or between the shower curtains) until I make a big show of "finding" her. Then It is my turn to make an exagerated get away while she follows. All I have to do is do the fake sneak or mimic kitten paws in the air and our play time is ON! I never saw a cat play like that.Is this common or not? Does she really think I can`t see her ears sticking up from behind the laundry basket?
My favorite is her strafing runs;she runs by and gently taps/rubs my legs and manages to duck and cover before I can fully turn around.

I`m constantly blown away by how my Alley interacts and plays with me.Heck,it`s like having a puppy but with an "off" switch! woohoo

Aww that is cute! If you watch cats at play especially when they are kittens, it's exactly the way Alley interacts with you. It's wonderful.

She sounds like a typical kitten to me and since she doesn't have another kitty playmate - TAG - you're it!

Punkin liked to play "mugger." He'd hide behind something, wait for one of us to come by, and then jump out at us. We ran all over the house doing that!

So Alley pretty much sees me as a member of her feline family then? That makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. Being new to the cat scene this kitty-play is all novel and super-cool! As a kitten matures into cathood do they still play? I hope so!

And what`s with that slow-motion thing where they rear up on hind legs and kind of twist the upper torso and front paws? That move makes me laugh everytime. "Mugger".That`s a great name. Can I use it? lol
