Last summer, I told you all about some of the wildlife at our warehouse. It wasn't all that long ago that where it's located was just fields, so it's not too surprising.
I was concerned about a mockingbird last year. He broke his left wing and couldn't fly. He survived all summer, I guess, by eating the bugs under the lights at night. I wondered what had become of him when it got colder.
I got my answer. He's back, and he can fly again. He still holds his left wing in an odd position, but he gets around just fine.
I was also sad about a skunk who got run over. I'd seen him a number of times, and he ignored me and went about his food-finding business.
The good news is that we have a new family of skunks, including at least 3 little kits, hanging around.
