Kaiser called today and told me to come as soon as I could get there because someone cancelled.
The surgery was in the ami nstead of 1.
I got sick from the anesthesia and could not stop throwing up.
I still feel like I will get sick.
They gave me vicodin for the pain.

Aww. You'll feel a bit better tomorrow!
Did you get to keep what they took out?

Thanks Linda,
They said I could not keep the stones because they sent everything out.
I had asked though.

I'm glad to see you posting today!

Did they not ofter anything at all for the vomiting? That feels terrible after surgery, and I'm so sorry that you had to go through that.

That the pain isn't too bad and you get to feeling better in a few days.

Awww I always get sick from the nausea meds. Ask the hospital if you can have a list of all the meds they gave you to help figure out what you're sensitive to.

For my last surgery they put an anti nausea patch behind my ear, and gave me anti nausea meds the whole time I was out, and they know what meds I'm most sensitive to and it was the FIRST time I have ever woken up without nausea.

I hope you're feeling better soon. How's the pain?

Over the river and through the woods...
I'm glad the surgery went well, and I hope you feel better soon. DH always gets sick from the aensthesia too, and I know when you are sick to your stomach the LAST thing you want to do is try to swallow a pill. One thing that calms his stomach down pretty fast is warm jello. Just make it like you normally would but drink it while its still warm instead of letting it set up. I guess it coats his stomach or something but it really makes him feel better. You could also try some tea with ginger in it. Ginger is a natural anti-nausa herb.

Many healing !

You sound just like my mother. It took her hours to feel better after her hand surgery. For her it was the drug they used to knock her out. They didn't have the other one that she is fine.

I am sure you will feel better soon.

A pepermint candy (the kind made with real peppermint oil) is great for nausea. Of course you're probably feeling better by now anyway, glad it's over with and it will be great to live without that pain.
