hello...I came on here today to post about a problem I was having with my new kitten and stumbled upon this thread. since I did I think its right to tell you the story of all that happened.
our wedding was 10/30/2010, went to Tahiti for our honeymoon, I thought for sure this was a forever thing, considering by the time of our wedding day we were already together for about 5 1/2 years and living together for quite a few years as well. heres where the horror story begins. 4 months after the wedding I come home after working a 10 hour day. hes standing there and tells me he just cant do this anymore, and never wanted to marry me in the 1st place. well first I was in shock then completely devastated. I went to my parents for the night and contacted all his best friends trying to get to the bottom of things. his friends couldn't believe it and were truly an amazing help with me getting to the bottom of this. turns out he was cheating on me with a girl on his bowling league, who proudly bragged about screwing married men. found out that night I left he had her over for drinks and she stayed over. well...that was the end of my marriage. after being together all those years I never got an explanation of WHY, or WHAT I could have possibly have done wrong. I was the "stupid girl", completely blinded thinking our relationship was great. I used to joke that the only thing we fought about was who got what pillow at bedtime! it kinda hurt that never once did he say he was sorry or try to reconcile with me, I wouldn't have went back with him anyway, but for a LONG time I had a hard time wondering how you can just throw someone away like a piece of trash like that. I immediately moved back in with my parents. we had 4 cats together but my parents only allowed me to bring to, so I brought my 2 oldest. A few months later is when Sabastian died, the cat I had since he was a little kitty. that was another hard blow. throughout all of this I had amazing support from friends and family who really helped me stay strong through all this. I lived back with my parents for a year but then wanted to get back on my feet. I also went to a therapist who also helped me greatly through my situation. im back on my own now, I got my apartment just in june of 2012 with a great room mate. I have a wonderful cat Seven who turns a year old tomorrow, and am currently seeing a new guy, im a very strong woman, and he ALMOST broke me, but I was determined to make sure he didn't. im very proud of myself with how far I came, and recently found my own closure and forgave him in my heart. hatred is a terrible thing to carry around. one of the most embarrassing things about all of this is we had a HUGE wedding with all our family and friends and I was mortified, and so embarrassed when I would get asked how are the newlyweds!!?? not only did he hurt me but he made a public embarrassment out of me. But that's all over now. Im a much stronger and wiser woman from this experience....and im tellin ya, if things don't work out with this new guy im seriously considering becoming the crazy cat lady

Sorry to hear it didn't work out Mine didn't either - we never go into it thinking there's an end! Glad to see he didn't break you and I hope your new guy treats you much better than your ex!

I'm so sorry this didn't work out for you, but so glad to hear things are looking up.

new man, new apartment, new kitty AND....things are looking very promising for a new job which will be a whole new career change for me with a lot of room for growth!
