thank you all so much!
His name is Mark and we've been together 4 yrs and lived together for 3. For the last year i was really sweatin things wondering what was going on inside his head and wondering why there wasn't a proposal, and i wasn't quiet about it i bugged him often and he bluffed a few times!!!He would tell me he went looking at rings and it was coming soon and then nothing lol. He really upset me and i had quite a few heart to hear talks to my mom and friends about the situation, but i never thought about leaving him over it cause the whole relationship was perfect except there was no proposal coming......so for the last week he starts "talking" again getting my ring size and he calls me up yesterday and tells me that he went to the mall looking and he picked one out for me and i asked him if he got me one and he said no, but he promised i would have it by the end of the year, so i took it with a grain of salt and was like ok whatever, but he id indeed get it, and as soon as i got home from being out shopping with my mom he told me to sit down and close my eyes and then he asked!!!! i was in shock then and i still am, but we are finally having a wedding! I set the date for oct 30th 2010. I've always wanted a crazy Halloween themed wedding and that's just what im having!!!!
we went out last nite and celebrated with our local friends, it was so much fun telling everybody!
All my friends in DC are super psyched for me, basically everyone is super psyched because they all heard my "why wont he marry me" speeches, lmao! so sometime in july we are going to go and have a little engagement party with friends in DC. My mom is having a nice clam dinner today for me and mark. And yes i will love my MIL, and the whole side of his family, they are great and over the years they have became my family already.
ALOT of our friends said ABOUT TIME!!!! lol ahhhhhhh i guess good things come to those who wait
The ring: 1.02 carat princess cut solitaire, set in white gold.....its exactly what i wanted
