This is my 1st cat, had him 6 months now and he never has clawed any of my funiture. but I do trim his claws a little. now I am getting him a condo and I want to know if I should trim his claws or not. I am getting a condo & a tree and both are 60"+ tall. Will he need full claws to use them?

Also does anybody have any tips or advice for me on using cat trees?

He'll be able to use the trees just fine, and they will sharpen his claws. I have quite a few trees and poles and clip the cats every 10 days or so, kittens more often. They have no trouble on even my tallest trees which are floor-ceiling

Keep trimming the claws as long as the cat's used to it because some don't like it at all. You're only taking off the tip; they have sufficient claw left to climb and also sharpen. Having something of their own to claw is essential.

Neither of my cats has ever clawed anything in the house except "their" things.
