o.. Should we trust Petco for vaccinations?

I just go to the vet.. but I only have one cat so I'm not too concerned with pricing.

I give my cats the 3-in-1 vaccine myself, it is WAY cheaper than taking 13 cats to the vet for shots! You can order them from Drs Foster and Smith online, and they give instructions. They get their rabies shots either at Petco or at the township's annual rabies clinic ($8 a shot!).

Last time they got their shots, I used the Fel-O-Vax PCT. They're due again this summer, I will probably use the same one.

how do u administer the shots and how do u know they are effective? Like if u shoot it in the wrong way and it doesn't work, there's no way of knowing right? But when my vet does it it's not like he deeply concentrates on where to put it so I guess anywhere in a general area??

Movin' on up!
When I had lots of cats, I vaccinated them, myself. After years as a medical assistant, I figured that it couldn't be any more difficult, than vaccinating kids. I shot them, between the shoulders and they never seemed to mind.

Any of the 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 should be sufficient, I would think, as they are the same as the shots the vet gives. The difference between the 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 is that the 4-in-1 contains a chlamydia vaccine, as well as rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and feline panleukopenia (feline distemper), which are in the 3-in-1. You can always check with your vet as to what the cat got last time.
