Loves corn husks!

I am visiting my son, DIL and their 2 cats. One of his cats craves corn husks! This cat will beg in front of the refrigerator, and when the coor is opened, will climb inside to show you exactly where the corn is kept! He will peel off one husk and give it to her, and she will eat the whole thing!

I've seen lots of cats, but never heard of one who will eat a corn husk. She also likes lettuce. Weird cat.

Sounds like she is needing her roughage! Dil should get them the "kitty greens", which is sweet grass they can eat to help their craving for greens. Pet shops, Walmart carry the seeds. I usually use potting soil instead of the mix they give with the seed, seems to grow better! But, hey, one of my cats LOVES boiled peanuts (thats a Southern thang ya no)

OMG!!! Mine too. We were going to have corn for dinner and did not, so my friend gave it to me to bring home. I put it on the counter and he was right in the bag trying to get at the husk. And he does the same thing now as soon as we wake in the morning, he goes right to the and sits there until I open it and thread some for him to eat. He loves lettuce too and non fat plain Mountain High yogurt. But only in a spoon. I have to sit there are let him lick it from a spoon. He will not eat it out of a bowl! No your cat is not weird. He needs his greens.

Wow, there are two weird kitties! I remember hearing from a posting friend who once had a cat that ate corn on the cob. Every time they cooked it, they would have to fix one ear for the cat! And she would eat ALL the corn off the cob too! Hilarious!

When I was in high school, we had a cat who loved potato peels. He'd come running if he heard anyone peeling potatoes. We never gave him more than one or two small pieces because we were afraid it would make him sick, but he would sit there and whine and beg until the peeling stopped. Hilarious.

Lettuce is ok. But I would NOT let the cat eat the corn husks. I used to have a Cornish Rex that would play "see who gets it first" when I husked corn, but I would not allow him to be eating it.
