You won't believe this, watch the video, this is just horrendous.

Okay the video in the link above is the cop beating a male customer in the bar a few hours prior to hit beating up the girl bartender.

Link below is the video itself to him beating up the girl. Graphic

Thank you Tricia for providing the correct video, I didn't even realize, at first, that the same cop beat up two people in the same bar on the same night, all caught on Video.

I'm not clicking the link until I know more about what it contains.

I saw that on the news and think it is outrageous what the outcome was, totally outrageous!!

It is an article with an embedded video.

The article explains what the video is. The video is of a drunk off duty Chicago cop at a Chicago bar. The cop went behind the bar and the female bartender tells him he can't be back there and the cop proceeds to beat the living daylights out of this woman who is half his size. Punches her in the face and throws her down and starts kicking her. It is brutal.
He got no jail time.

I am not surprised he didn't get jail time. He is a cop so they are going to give him the lowest sentence they can. He deserves jail time!! If any one else did that you know they would be in jail!! Too bad their is not audio. I would love to know if he pulled the "I am a cop so you need to do what i want" card.

The person that was down in the first clip, was that a man or a woman?

OMG!

I just read the article. I didn't watch the video though. Sounds too graphic for me.

I can't believe that he walked away without any punishment for assault and battery!

The video the link leads me to is of a man being beaten. This video shows him beating the female bartender.

Yep, the same guy beat up two people that day at the bar. The one video is of him beating up a male patron who declined to press charges, that happened a few hours earlier than the other video showing him beating up the little female bartender.

Thanks Tricia.

I've seen the video a few times on Chicago news programs, and yes, it's quite digusting. I mean, he just didn't slap her around, he had her on the floor and was throwing fully pulled back punches at her.

The cop didn't have a jury trial, it was a bench trial and the judge was the one doing the sentencing. No jail time, as has been stated. He got probation for X amount of months. The NOW organization is outraged and vows to start a campaign to make sure he does NOT get re-elected as a judge again.

All I can say is......... to that judge.

And people want to know why I don't admire and trust Police! Why they would want to protect someone who did nothing but embarrass the Police Department with his actions is way beyond me.

There is bad cops and there is good cops just like in anything elese.

The fact that everyone knows this was a bad cop and let him fly free really sucks. I smell a big fat lawsuit and I don't blame her one bit.

I don't understand why he didn't have a jury trial. I hope that she takes him to civil court and sues his ***. She is now afraid to go back to work, afraid of the police... He had two friends go to the bar to bribe/intimidate her.

It just makes me so mad when police officers just walk away with a slap on the wrist. They are so post to set the example and follow the laws. Why do they not have to face the same consequences as everyone else???

CATTYBIRD- I don't trust the police either. This is just another prime example!

I dont trust police either! This disgusts me, that a*****le deserved a lot harder sentence if to not only punish him but to show other cops that they cant get away with murder!! I could never work in a bar to begin with, drunk people.....id have a gun or knife on me. Is this guy getting any punishment from the police force?? He should be suspended or worse, it doesnt matter if he is off duty.

it says he has been suspended and it has been recommended that he be fired, the hearing is July 7th, if I read it right. I hope he loses his job, any pension he may have earned up to this point, goes to rehab (highly unlikely, but one can hope), and gets his a** sued by the bartender.

I love and miss Chicago, but with jerks like that in uniform... no one, and I mean NO ONE, is above the law.

I noticed that Daley fired the Superintendent and brought in an FBI person to run things... the type of person the 'rank and file' don't like... so what? they've gotten away with so much for so long, they need someone who isn't one of their buddies to get their behinds back in line.

It's utterly outrageous that he received no jail time. He'd better be fired...that's the least that should happen at this point. The current superintendent is calling for that.

As a resident of Chicago, I'll be making a note of that judge's name, and come election time, I'll be looking for groups that will be lobbying against his re-election.

But that's a tarring all police officers with the same brush, and as i've said above their not all like that.

He needs to be kicked out the force because he can't control himself.
