This may be nothing but I never remember this when Pong was spayed. A couple of times a day I have been checking Tiny's spay site. Other than she pulled a stitch off everything looks fine. Well she was just on my lap so I decided to take a look at the site. Running the entire length and width of the site is like a knot swollen hard area. It is not red, there is no heat, no discharge. She is acting just like her usual self running, playing, eating and pottying.

I will be calling the vet in the morning and I can take a picture and post if need be...but does this sound like something major.

I think it's just scar tissue
I haven't had many females spayed, they've all come to me already fixed, but my dog had surgery in February to remove a cyst and his incision site was like that too, the hard ridge running down the incision site, but after a month or so it went flat again

It's good you are going to call the vet. Just to set your mind at ease it sounds just like what happend to Maggie about a week after he spay. She developed a swelling under her stitches. No discharge, no heat, just swelling. The vet said it might be a reaction to the internal stitches, but it was gone within 24 hours of having the exterior stitches removed. So I think your kitty will be OK, but it never hurts to call the vet.

They usually have a hard ridge feeling to the area for a week or so, especially if internal sutures are used, but the vet would know what (s)he used so I would give them a call just to put your mind at ease
