Nuh uh...might give me away!
Scotty went to the vet this a.m. after DH and I noticed him dribbling urine around the house. Knowing the signs, we took him to the vet and sure enough, he had bacteria and struvite crystals in his urine.

He's prone to UTIs (this is his 4th since 2005) but it's still nerve-racking. I'm betting it's stress related because DH and I are moving with the furballs to our first home soon. We've started packing, and seeing as Scotty has moved twice with me in the past (one of those developing a UTI shortly afterward), he stresses out.

So, just asking for vibes. :/

the crystal thing too. Although I wonder if stress has anything to do with it. Finally after eating CD for years, he out grew it and could eat regular food. Sending vibes your way

Thanks everyone! He seems to be feeling better, but I know we're not out of the woods. The pain medication we got from the vet will help him relax enough to urinate normally, but only a change in food will dissolve the crystals he already has (and prevent new ones). That might take a couple of weeks before we see results there.

I'm just glad he's not tinkling all over the house.
