Friday was his best show ever...

his new rules best part of the show
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrCR8TndvYk

Meghan McCain was his guest and made a dumb blonde out of herself

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB43uoD4R6Q

Meghan about Reagan administration:
"I don't know I wasn't born yet"
Paul Begala:
"I wasn't born during the French revolution but I know about it"

LMAO

Any other Bill Maher fans out there or am I the only crazy one who agrees with him on everything 100%?
I'm going to see him live this Friday and I'm soo excited!! He will be in Atlanta and I already bought my tickets. Well there were plenty of tickets for the show, I'm sure no one wants to see him in the bible belt area...But I cannot wait!!
Lol sorry for the random thread but I had to share my excitement.

For what it's worth, Maher is one of the most unpopular Democratic pundits/comedians among Democrats. It may not necessarily be WHAT he says, but HOW he says it that riles even people who would normally agree with him. I have heard several prominent Democratic personages call him "detestable" and "odious."

Yea well he has also been turning against the democratic party lately and doesn't call himself a democrat although he was kissing the dems' ass before 2008 election in every single show...He's crazy and sometimes goes against the fundamentals of capitalism and if you think Obama does that it can't even compare..So I guess it's not 100% that I agree with him lol but it's exactly in this outrageous way he says everything that I find most appealing and hilarious... and I love his cynicism.

I absolutely love him, and yes, I am a "follower" too! I just wish there were more people out there as smart, blunt and courageous like him!
I will make sure to watch this upcoming show!! That is so cool!
I also love his cynicism! As far as the democrats hating him... hummm.... never met one democrat who doesn't like him, and I pretty much only associate with democrats(if I can choose), so I know a lot them!

Yayy I wish there were more people like him out there too. I miss George Carlin, he was another one of my most favorite comedians. So smart and blunt although he wasn't as political as Bill Maher is. But he was another one fighting against bullshit
His show is on hold in the next few weeks because he will be touring but his last 2 shows were some of his best! You gotta see the one with Meghan McCain that cracked me up so much

I watch Real Time fairly often, and while I don't agree with everything he says I do find him funny. My sense of humor is very similar and I'm extremely cynical myself. The opening making fun of the AMA was perfect! Especially the bit about trying to trick a person into paying twice.

I thought he went easy on Meghan McCain. He could have really embarrassed her or let the other guests tear into her, but did keep it to a minimum. Personally I felt a little sorry for her, she wasn't quite prepared for the way debates can get on Real Time.

Meghan McCain needs to stay away from politics. She had no place on Bill Maher's show and it was the dumbest thing to willingly be his guest. She was on Rachel Maddow as well and when Rachel asked her what she thinks about the Republican party's plans for the economy she said "I didn't even take econ in college so I really don't know"
W.T.F??? If she doesn't know then what is she doing there? She wouldn't get this kind of treatment if she only stuck to something on her level.
Bill was totally condescneding to her, he treated her the way she deserved to be treated: like a pet! Okay that may be horrible for me to say but I think she doesn't have the intelligence of the average human.

Wow, I guess that leaves me out.

Personally I don't take a person's political views into account as a deal maker or a deal breaker when making friends, but that is just me.

I think it makes for a more balanced person to have friends of varying views.
Sometimes I even change my mind when I listen to an opposite view.

I love Bill Maher!!! I was able to see him in Reno and it was even better in person!! Some of the Dems are just miffed because he's been calling them & President Obama "out on the carpet"...oh, welllll!!!Time for the "whiners" to go slink off ...

Well, as I said... If I can choose... I have great friends who are republicans; they came into my life in different ways... I will never discuss politics with them though, it makes no sense to me - I won't change my views, and they won't change theirs.
As far as you changing your mind............................ for some reason I just can't see that .
But please let's go back to the topic and not make this personal.

While I watch Bill Maher I can't say I agree with him 100%. But then I never agree with anyone 100%. He is slanted toward his views but that is how it should be, it is his show and his views and his audience. He does have some good things to say and tries to be fair. I cringe though on some of his jokes on religon and he is a 100% supporter of PETA, lauding them and Ingrid Newkirk on his show so I can't say I am a complete fan. That being said I do agree on some of his views on the enviroment and health care and his new rules while sometimes rude are a favorite of mine.

It is good for the soul to listen to the other side. Different perspectives are good.

I guess as you get older you get less rigid and it is easier to see both sides if you try and I think it is good to try to see both sides.

Changing my mind? Two major ones: 1. The Death Penalty, went from in favor to against.
2. same sex marriage, went from strongly against to not wanting to discriminate against a group of people.

Maher? No opinion except he seems like a wise guy and arrogant but then so is Bill O'Reilly.

Just came back from his show, it was AMAZING!!! He is so much more artistic and funny in the stand up comedy shows, his real time show is nowhere near this good! I'm so happy to have gone.
