Ya they live in Alaska so at least I don't have to see her every day
I like her she is fun to talk to, but she says a lot of hurtful things.

All 3 of mine were breastfed - my oldest, a son, was big like Jaiden - a huge eater. Middle child - a girl - had to go off the breast from 3 to 7 weeks of age due to testing for galactosemia (sp?), and she never got very pudgy, even after I resumed nursing (thank God for that!) 3rd - a boy - was picky, not a great eater, and still skinny as a rail. 3 kids - all breastfed - totally different body shapes.

Jaiden is a real cutie!

Getting back to the original topic, I must say I can somewhat understand the lady making a comment. I've made comments to folks at the pet store if they have been getting something I knew wasn't very good for their cat (like Fancy Feast). I suppose they also thought I was an interfering old lady and should mind my own business so I can see both sides. Perhaps this lady is under the old impression that binky's will do damage to permanent teeth by preventing them from coming in straight (my mom used to think that by the way) or some other thing she heard or was raised to believe. This was a chance for you to re-educate her.

Just last night I let a young man go ahead of me in the grocery line as he had just a few items. As he started to unload his little basket he said, "Oh, sorry I forgot I need kitty litter" and started to reload his basket. I suggested he go next door to PetValu and get World's Best and that it would cost him more than the grocery store stuff but he would save money in the long term. He didn't go back into the grocery store for litter, so maybe he followed my advice.

At 4 months old, I don't think him having a binky is bad. Now, my bf's uncles kids, thats a whole different story. A 4 (almost 5 year old) and a 3 (almost 4 year old) still on binky's and still in diapers. Ok, maybe the 3 year old being in diapers isn't that bad, but come on, the almost 5 year old has JUST started potty training, and her mother isn't consistant with it, so I doubt she will be able to start school on time due to her still being in diapers. Anyway, I do think the woman probably was just trying to help out, maybe she thought you didn't know what she thought she knew. (??)

Jaiden is gorgeous and certainly doesn't look like he is underfed =]

HAHA!!!! That'll do it! I'll have to remember that for if I ever have kids in the future.

And btw, your little man is very cute. And I'm brutally honest about kids and whether they're cute or ugly. (yes, I've seen some ugly babies in the past.) I'm not the kind to tell everyone that their baby is cute. So consider yourself very blessed lol

Very cute little dude!

Guess we are the exception to that. It just shocks me that someone would even think that I don't feed him enough! I always expected to get the "you baby is too chubby" comments.
I mean he is 4 months old and wears the 9 months size!!
(Its actually Jaiden the "J" key was broken on the other key bored just switched them
)
Almost every breast fed baby I have ever taken care of that is exclusively breastfed (I meaning never get any formula, not about solids) for more than a few weeks are THE chunkiest babies I have ever seen. It's b/c of the fat in the milk that gets them that way. We have a few chunkers at my work right now.

I get those types of comments every so often with my little one. He's almost a year old and wears 2T clothes. He's always been a huge boy (and not breast fed either) but the binky comments we get are about his teeth now. I realize people mean well but sometimes you just want to come back with an inappropriate comment.
