It isn't a huge loss of quality but it is there. When the music files are compressed for MP3 you give up some of the quality to make them smaller. I wasn't super aware of it until my friend (who is a recording engineer for a well known recording studio) pointed it out to me and explained. You can easily tell...listen to an MP3 of a song and THEN listen to the CD quality version. You can def. tell the difference! If you want I can see if I can get my friend to reexplain it and post it here!

How many towns/cities have you lived in and where do you live now? I have only lived in two different towns. My hometown and I moved to another town in NY just 30 mintues South of where I grew up. I never had much desire to move away from the area I grew up since not only is it so pretty but its also very close to NYC.

Which was the most embarrassing? oh my I have them on a daily basis it seems...well falling off the risers during an orchestra concert and having my music stand land on top of me was pretty embarassing but also was the time I was walking across the room to give a presentation and triped over the podium and fell flat on my face.

4. What makes you happy? simple things. My cats, sunshine, flowers ad good cup of coffee and a good book. Music.

I started my orchestra with 8 students and at a low playing level. 3 years later I'm at 35 students and they are now intermediate and good enough to compete. So I took them to Disney for an orchestra competition. I planned and excuted the trip with no help from anyone else.
