He is now 9 weeks old. Super sweet and smart. I am the proud parent

Aw Jeanie I just saw your thread in furpics of your little boy. He is so precious. I asked you over there how old he is. Hes just so tiny and so cute.

Tell us more - how did you become his mommy?

I and my boyfriend was house sitting for our friend who has a parrot, a cat, and a dog that need someone to take care of when our friend was on vocation. We had so much fun with the animals and were inspired to check in Craiglist for adopting a cat. Coincidentally, the neighbor of the house sitting place posted an ad on craiglist were looking for someone to adopt Coffee and his siblings. Coffee was the smallest and last one left for adoption. This was just 10 days ago.

Coffee slept on my neck for the first night. He was so affectionate and followed us around. At first I was sleep deprived and wondered if I should train him to sleep alone. However, very soon I was so fond of his affection and actually looked forwards to snuggle with him. Now he has many of his bases for hiding and sleeping but if we are home, he always stays by our side. In the middle of the night, he also laid on my chest, which warmed my heart.

I am amazed by his growth day by day and feel like a mom: worrying if he eats too little, too much, drinks too little, too much, not happy, too active, if he urinates and poo normally...etc. I am surprised by his learning curve that yesterday he was afraid of height and bird toy, today he is climbing and attempting to bite the neck of the bird toy and hide it. I think not only his look, but also his personality and affection have captured my heart.

I think Coffee now is 10 weeks old or so.
