Excerpt:

For some, Tiger and Fluffy are just too boring for cat names. Try Snag L. Tooth on for size, or how about Clawed Monet?

Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. (VPI), based in Brea, Calif., for the second year in a row set out to find the 10 most unusual cat and dog names in the United States.

Here's a link to the story:

I have Hunter S. Tomcat (although he is no longer technically a tom, lol), Calamity Jane, Havana and several with more "normal" names.

I enjoyed the article very much. Thank you for sharing. When I was little our family cats were named Capullo (flower bud/cocoon in Spanish) and Trapito (Spanish for little rag).

Now my two kitties have "boring" names: Max and Mia. Oh well, maybe if I have more kitties in the future I'll get more creative.

LOL! I liked them all, very clever! My favorites were "Bam Bam Noodle Butt" (I wonder where that came from?) and "Kanye East" (Another that makes me wonder..) but they were all definitely unusual and funny too!

TCS has 8-Bit Wolfgang and Scratch Fury Destroyer of Worlds... (Their human has been too busy to post recently and we miss hearing about 8-Bit's antics. )

I guess Eightball doesn't quite count, eh?

I do have a feral cat named Indiana Joan. To show how ignorant I was way back then.......we found this feral kitten and since DH just got back from the Indianapolis 500 race, we called "him" Indiana Jones. He turned out to be a she so we renamed her to Indiana Joan. She is a torbie. I didn't realize back then that torbies are female.
That was close to 17 years ago.

I had a cat named "Mama Kitty"
She was a stray that found me when she was pregnant. I guess I am not very creative. I usually name my cats after Disney Characters.
