This was on the local news tonight. http://www.fox4kc.com/wdaf-warm-fuzz...,6134044.story

Warm Fuzzy's, an independent rescue group in Bates County Missouri had their trailer that was housing all of the rescue cats knocked off the foundation by strong winds yesterday. The 20 cats and 5 kittens were not hurt, but there is sufficient damage to the building that it needs extensive repairs, if not replacement. The cats were left inside the 94 degree trailer today because the electricity is out. She is asking local rescues to help foster these cats until she can get the repairs made. The word is out locally to get her help with the cats.

Joyce has been running this rescue group for many years now, and pretty much does most of the work on her own. Her specialty has always been feral cats and I met her thru the local feral cat rescue group. She really knows feral cats, but as you can guess, her adoption rate is low because most people will not take one on. The ones that she socializes are brought in with other rescue adoption clinics, as Joyce isn't large enough to run her own. Everyone locally helps her when we can, but everyone is strapped with the economy the way it is right now.

In the video she talked about opening up the door and letting the cats go, but I know Joyce better than that - she doesn't have it in her heart to do so.

If there is anyway you can think to help out Joyce at Warm Fuzzy's, here is a link to her website: http://www.warmfuzzys.org/
