Hi

I have an 9 month old Birman kitten (spayed) who weighs about 6LBS. I free feed Royal Canin kitten biscuits and have been feeding her Wellness and Weruva wet food. Recently, Libby has stopped eating most wet food except for Weruva Outback Grill (fish). I don't want to continually feed her fish or have her not eat wet food. Should I stop free feeding the biscuits to force Libby to eat the wet? She's getting more and more naughty, is she just being a 'teenager'?

Thanks

Most cats will starve themselves if they don't like what they are offered. I would try other brands and flavors of wet food and have a good rotation of things she likes.

It may be that because you are free feeding the dry she isn't hungry enough when the wet is presented, since she is 9 months you could try switching to meal times I would go with 3-4 and see if that helps encourage appetite.

Have you considered other brands of canned food like Natural Balance, Max Cat, Iams, Blue Buffalo, Avoderm?

We feed one meal of dry in the morning and one canned meal for supper. But we feed a variety of flavors and brands. Chicken, beef, lamb, turkey, venison, and duck. We do not get any fish based foods (tuna/salmon). Our male had a UTI, so we do not feed fish.
