My four year old boy will not eat his wet food until his sister tastes it. He is smart but I don't suspect he has assigned her the royal food taster role. I get the impression he can't smell it but can smell her scent. Does this make sense? Right now to get him to eat I feed them both let her take a bite then swap dishes.

I am taking him to the vet on Friday but am wondering if anyone has experienced this? Other than this he is playful (and a little bratty), not sneezing and appears over all in good health.

Thanks,

Erin

I would agree but Finn is so the alpha. He will even walk away from the food uneaten and take hers if I don't swap them out.

"Ladies first"....maybe he is being a gentleman.
No, is this something new?

One of my females, Henrietta, will sit next to her chum Mr Higgins, and wait for him to eat a few bites. They then take turns getting a bite from the same dish.
Her dish is just inches from his, but they recently started sharing. I am not sure what this means.
