Between the cat puking on the staircase and my husband spilling coffee, I am shampooing the carpeted stairs. OMG what a back breaking job! I made it to the landing. Now I only have 9 more to go. Ugh. I should also shampoo the family room and mop the kitchen/hallway, but I don't know if I have enough energy. Next two days I'm watching grandkids, so I know I can't do it then.

Next time, I think you should get DH to clean up after himself! Do you have a Bissell? They're great for steam cleaning.

Got a Hoover, but have to use the upholstry attachment, on hands and knees because it is too big for the stair tread. You're right about DH! He will be in the dog house.

I haven't been brave enough to steam the stairs with the steam cleaner yet. I think it'll be a PITA, so I just haven't bothered.

Make him help you! You're not super woman and he's making some of the messes - surely he can handle shampooing a couple rooms when the carpets need to be done.

Find a project for him to tackle when he gets home to make it up to you.

I have the dining room floor filled with kitchen junk I no longer want, can't use (missing cord) or just can't remember what it is for. He WILL have a garage sale before the summer is over and he claims he has no time! Yesterday and Monday I went through all the kitchen cabinets to weed out the excess "stuff." Big job!
