De's kittens are 9 weeks old now, 2 are already rehomed but we still have 2 with us. The little ginger male runs around all the time, and we often find him panting with his mouth open. We're taking him to the vets tomorrow..just wanted to know your thoughts on it!

Trout used to when she was young after a good bit of exercise. I don't think it's really normal. What I was told is if they are panting, you should stop playing with them because they are getting too much exercise. (If that makes sense). By no means I am no expert though. But everytime Trout would pant, I would stop playing with her just in case.

There's no place like home
I've not seen kittens panting from self play. I have seen kittens panting after I play with them or they play hard with their littermates. I always stop when they start to pant.

I think it's best that you are taking him to a vet tomorrow. Wish I could offer some insights.

Took them all to the vets this morning, vet says no problem he's just running around a lot and tiring himself out.

De's stitches are healing nicely having just been spayed and the 2 kittens we have left are fine but eating us out of house and home lol.
