Yesterday evening the family of one of my patients brought her dog in to visit her. The girl has a complicated pregnancy and has been in the hospital several weeks and will be there for the duration of her pregnancy.

Her oldest dog died yesterday and she was quite sad, so her parents brought her 6 year old Pappion (spelling?) OMG! What a cutie!
Her name is Lola and she is so friendly. I got lots of kisses and she followed me around for awhile and I took her to visit some other patients on the ward.

I wish we had a dog or a cat on the ward all of the time. Lola's visit not only did my patient a world of good, but also the rest of us too.
It totally made my evening!

The face looked like the colour of a collie (Lassie) but the rest of her was black and white! So cute! Such a curly tail!! hehe

This isn't her, but her face looked like this one, and the rest of the body was black and white. Her tail was white.

They are great little dogs, and I can well imagine the positive effect a friendly little pooch would have on everyone! That's why they have therapy dogs coming to visit patients.
