I can't help it... isn't he ADORABLE!!!?? I just don't think I can do 3 cats though since I rent and it would be REALLY hard to find another place that accepts 3 pets (I'm planning on moving to Nashville as soon as I find employment). I'm sure pet fees and such would be astronomical with 3 kitties.

I can't give you any advice, but AWWW. I love kittens. Especially tabby kittens.

Please think responsibly. I feel like I have little room to talk since we have just taken in a 3rd cat under emergency circumstances, but it has taken us many years to get to this point. The last thing you want to do is to put yourself in situation that may put all your pets, or even your own housing in jeopardy.

I think falling in love with kitties has all the qualities of an addiction. (the adrenaline rush, the anticipation) Please give yourself time to write down reasons it would be helpful or harmful, and think of yourself and your current kitties first. Chances are such a cute little guy will have no trouble finding a home just about anywhere. When you are in more stable circumstances and can give another kitty a home, there will still be plenty of cute ones out there, and it will seem like it is meant to be. You don't yet know whether you can find housing that will accept your own two wonderful cats. Give yourself a breather, and then decide if it's really right. Good Luck!

Thank goodness for Yelloweyes, the voice of reason!!!!!!! You have several very good points and are, of course correct!!

The problem I have is that I'm addicted to PETFINDER. That website is pure-evil!! If I would just stop looking on that site, I'd never see adorable little babies like that sweet boy!


But it is true, I need to wait until I am settled and KNOW that I can have 3 cats where I'm living on a permanent basis. SURELY that baby and his brothers will get adopted to good homes. My issue is that I always fear that someone will get them who won't take good care of them.

I just need to stop with the petfinder thing.

Oh what a stunning boy !!

I'm a sucker for Maine Coons! And petfinder is what led me to my two new babies. I need to stay off it to for awhile or my DH may wake up to 6! LOL

awwww.. he is soooo cute..!! i love long haired cats.. i hope you can find a way of having him.. maybe you'll get lucky when you move.. some places don't always make you pay extra for cats because there so simple to take care of.. not like dogs where they can mess on the carpet and chew on things.. i got lucky with that because the place where i rent makes you pay an extra $50 each if you have a dog.. but for cats they didn't mind.. good luck i hope you can have him..!!
