My 10 week old kitten has cold paws a lot of times. Our cat Tiki is tolerating him most of the time, but some times will still growl a little and raise a paw at him when the kitten try to get too close. Is the kitten just stressed? Or is it an indication that he is not well? I talked to the shelter about his origin - he came from an abandoned litter where mom cat was only 4 lb when found. So his nutrition as a little infant was very poor.

Has he been anywhere in the house that has cool/cold floors? I know when my kitties come down from the attic, their paws are cooler to the touch than normal.

We are in Massachusetts, the weather is somewhat cool still. We have hardwood floor which is fairly cool too. Usually his paws are cold after he came down the steps and walked around a bit. After I held him for a while - his paws slowly becomes warm again. Maybe he is just so tiny that his paws quickly reflect the temparature of the hardwood floor? My other cat is 17 lb and her paws are always warm.
