Hi everyone,
My name is Suzee, I have a 3yr old brown tabby named Lucy. I adopted her almost 3 months ago from a local shelter. She is a very very vocal cat, follows me around the house just chattering away. I love that. I talk to her and she answers me. She is a very big boned cat. she weights 14lbs. She loves playing with the crochet yarn balls that I made her, and belly rubs. I have had cats in the past also forstered alot. Lucy didn't have a good life before she found us. Her mom was good to her but her dad was a very nasty man. He threatened to shoot her. So her other mom called the shelter told the girls about what her husband said, the girls at the shelter told her to bring her right over. For whatever reason the husband took lucy to the shelter and again threatened to shoot her in the shelters parking lot. Lucy for Lucy one of the girls there heard him and ran outside to get her. That happened in the morning. That afternoon we went to the shelter to pick out a kitten. We saw Lucy in her cage she looked scared to death. I talked to her and she started meowing to me. (the girls there said that was the first time she made a noise) I took her out of the cage and she nuzzled right up to my neck and started purring. Well needless to say she stole my heart. She never went back in the cage. She has adjusted well to her new home. The only thing that scares her now is if someone comes in the front door, then she will run to our bedroom for a few minutes.
I am looking forward to chatting and getting to know everyone. Also sharing information, pictures, stories and dddddhopefully some laughs.
