After realizing it would cost me around £70 a week (£300) ish a month to do raw for my kitties I've decided .. no thanks (tho if i had it I would do it)! So I've gone back to the drawing board and heres what I've come up with..

2 natures menu pouches + 50g James Wellbeloved Kibble (mixed half of the kibble with each pouch for 2 meals fed morning and evening) for each cat each day. Twice a week I will aim to give them some fresh meat/organs (substituting one meal).

I just kind of wanted to bounce this idea off on people and get opinions. Also does any one know if Natures Menu and James Wellbeloved are nutritional healthy products, by the look on the packaging and what I've read they seem to be?

i used to feed NM until it was bought out, they changed one of hte pouches and the consistency of all, and added a bit onto the price, so I swapped to HiLife (although has to be the tins, mine dont like the pouches!!). I have fed JWB for years and not had any problems, although they get a bit of PAH Purely (slightly more meat than JWB, but a stinkier dry, i dont like the smell of it) and now a bit of Applaws dry for variety. Orijin is supposed to be a better dry, as it is grain free, but a lot more cost and harder to get hold of, so I stick to JWB, that way I Can afford to feed all the fosters as well.

I was feeding felix kitten but on investigation I realized how evasive their labelling is. And it is isnt really that much different from the supermarket brands with the E whatever number preservatives and the coularants. Then the animal derivitives? not good. I guess thats another forum topic but I really want to give my cats the very best, I wouldn't eat a beef burger from Maccy Ds every day just because it's cheaper
