Well, after introducing Chance to the wonders of being inside (unbeknownst to the tenants of the house
), he now thinks he's a full-time resident, and it's virtually impossible to walk in without him sneaking past.
So, they finally caved, and he now sleeps in the basement with one of the kids, and he gets to visit upstairs as a special treat. It's the best situation I ever could have hoped for, and he seems so happy.
