Not sure if this was an open question; but of course, every politician is going to take the opportunity to say "Hey America, look at me, I'm a family man/woman, and I represent everything you are, with my adoring spouse and angelic children". And you typically know the score, right up front.
That's not what happened with Palin.
It became weird when Palin knowingly (and surreptitiously) took her pregnant daughter out on the road, all awash in her "abstinence-only" sexual education stance, and having cut funding for a state program for teen mothers (actually, maybe that's not such a big deal; as long as yours is a virgin birth and you've got lots of cash to support yourself, Palin has your back!). When the story breaks, we hear about how sweet Bristol gets to grow up a little quicker now, but with all of the love and support of her family, everything will be roses and puppy dogs and...zzzzzzzzzz..." "Quick Levi, what's your inseam?!?! Here's a blank check of GOP money, go get a nice suit and put on a happy face!!! You're family now!! Talk about marriage 'n' stuff!! But only until after the election, when things calm down...then take a hike!!"
Is that how it really went down? I dunno. Who knows. But in the wake of what we've seen, the "he said - she said", all of it...this most definitely has NOT been any other politician "taking their family out on the road with them".
Bristol is the spokeswoman for abstinence, after she's said publicly that it doesn't work. And why wouldn't she? Why would she possibly know what to say or what to think, when her choices have all been stripped from her by a role model drowning in her own hypocrisy?
