As a way to get back onto the broader topic..
I saw this commentary today and think this really is a good point of view. Yes, it's from Fox News. Yes, she's a conservative. Got that out of the way. http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/20...lin_letterman/
Basically, she's saying that although it's poo-poo'ed by the mainstream enough to force an apology, it's not condemned as long as it's lodged against a certain political bias.
Perez Hilton's treatment after the fact of Carrie Prejean, including the worst name you can hurl at a woman, and yet he was invited back to judge another pageant.
Playboy published (online) a story of the 10 conservative women (the author) would like to rape he called it a hate-:censored: (sex), but it's definitely the same idea). She candy-coated it a little in the article. It was taken down from Playboy's site, but here's a report on i
t (yes, again by Fox News). I found other comments on it, but I can't really post those because they aren't family friendly, or they include a link to the screenshots of the blog, which is definitely not family friendly
And Letterman, whom we've been debating about for pages. What some don't seem to grasp is that it is about more than just Bristol or Willow or even Sarah being referred in a demeaning way. It's that women in general are allowed to be referred to in this way, and perhaps that if their political bent isn't the "correct" slant.
