It is sad. We considered adopting a fourth child. DH doesn't want to go through the process again. Every adoption you start at page one. I think after adopting three hard to place children, I think we have proven ourselves.

You'd have thought so....
Even a computer can be programmed to loop back to a point other than the beginning -- why not a bureaucracy, peopled by supposedly human begins?
Good on ya for the necessary persistence.

Thank you all for your good wishes and vibes!

We plan on attending a meet & greet adoption fair thingy next Friday night where we can meet kids who are ready for adoption. I am REALLY excited about that. We just found out we can go to that.

I believe Watson & Mittens might be a little more spoiled once we have kids

Congratulations and good luck! That is very exciting! It IS sad that it is so difficult to adopt, but anybody who can physically manage it can have children so easily. I understand that they want it to be safe for the children who are being adopted but... you'd think the government would want to help encourage potential adopters. I admire you and everyone who adopts. It's such a great thing. Again, many and congrats.

The orientation meeting went well this morning. The process is still going to long and tedious. We are about to select some children and see what happens. It could take atleast 2-8 weeks before we here if we are selected for any of the children. I just want all of this to be done before the summer ends so the child(ren) can transition into our home well before school starts up again. I need lots of prayers, vibes, etc.
Thank you all for your support.

I think it's fantastic that you've decided to adopt, and older children especially.

I hope you find the right child and the process goes smoothly!
