Watch these two videos - attention, the second one is very disturbing....
This is what is what they call "meat by-product" and meat by-product meal.
Now, more than ever I am NEVER feeding by-products again... How can this be even legal??

Because there is little regulation on pet food! That's very sickening! Funny (in a sick sort of way) how you posted this because at the clinic where I work, we just received a pamphlet from the makers of Science Diet defending the use of by-products and how it's made up of vitamin E, organs, muscle meat etc. Yeah, but where do those organs and muscle meat come from? They didn't mention any eggs and maggot blend! And I'm burying my pets myself!

I think the doctor on the video is Dr. Shawn Messioner - He's listed on the Nature's variety website as a consultant and he's mentioned in Animal Wellness magazine or has contributed to it. I think he's also Martha Stewart's vet too!

Think i'll just skip that... my cats refuse to eat better quality at least the adults, the kitten is neutral lol

i use a non by product wet dog food but hey the cats need their wet so i'll just stay in the dark..

Isn't their alot of controversy surrounding the topic though? i have heard so many different viewpoints and i believe their are alot of myths out there too. no?

Let me just say I've been to a rendering plant and I've seen who patronizes them and I've seen what gets cooked down in the vats.

My pet food choices may have too many grains in them, but they do not contain by-products, chemical preservatives or artificial flavors/colors.
