this thread is cracking me up! and for the record, I agree whole-heartedly the MJ needs to be legalized

Coming from someone with experience in living with an alcoholic and being around a lot of pot-smokers, I have to see say that pot is by far the lesser of 2 evils

Amen! I grew up with an alcoholic father and I would have been happy to buy his pot if he would have given up the alcohol.

I truly think that most people, unless they have lived with an alcoholic, vastly under-estimate how completely alcohol can destroy/damage a family luckily my father went sober when I was 7, but I have very vivid recollections of the problems his drinking caused

I remember being about 14 years old and my father being drunk and shooting at my SIL's kitten under our car because he didn't like my SIL. That was scary and very stupid, especially if he had hit the gas tank on the car! I can't imagine him doing that while stoned. He'd be more likely to cuddle with the kitten.
