Not sure why this is happening all of a sudden. All of the fonts that I have on my computer show as very jagged when I use the type function in Photoshop. No other program. If I install new fonts, they are fine - no jagged edges.

Any ideas? I have a few hundred fonts in addition to the base fonts that come with Windows (as most of us graphics people do). Any idea on how to fix it?

Make sure you have the original Post Script font files in the computer's font folder if the font is yours. I am not sure how Vista works, and if there has been a font issue with old font formats. Just make sure all of them are in the font folder.
Also, try changing the character size to 30, or bigger, and type something with the image at 100% view, and see if it's not just a care of a zoomed in pixolation...
Check if the printer set up is an EPS printer only - if it is, change it to another one. Also make sure the document is on RGB to begin with ...
This is all that comes to mind...

Just in case this happens to anyone else, we finally figured out the issue. It actually started a while ago, but since I hadn't been doing much, if any, Photoshopping I didn't notice it. We had decided to upgrade me from 32-bit Vista to 64-bit Vista, and I had backed everything up so I wouldn't lose my files which included the fonts I had. That was the problem - using 32-bit fonts on the 64-bit system. My husband copied his font files and reinstalled them on my computer (he's been on 64-bit since the beginning), and the problem is fixed.
If you don't have a husband like mine, I think the only solution would be to reinstall/repair Vista with the installation disc.
