Because of my work schedule I thought I would go ahead and post the 7 week pictures of Ginger's babies. I took almost 40 today so I just made them into a slideshow, so just click on the picture to watch it. I tried to label each picture with the kittens names.

They are such characters and definitely a hand full. This may be their last week here--it will be Mace's last week, he will go to my neighbors next door on Friday. And little Pepper will come inside to stay with us on Friday as well.

I promise to continue to post pictures of Pepper and Mace as they grow--and the other kittens as long as they stay.

Isn't 7 weeks too young to be separated from Mom and siblings?

Obviously the longer the better but unfortunately momma has to get spayed--her milk has to be dried up for 2 weeks before they'll do it. Our situation is tough--especially with them all outside in the cage. I can't risk momma getting out and getting pregnant again--and she is definitely looking for love. I would love to keep them for longer but its not possible for us. Like I said they'll be almost 8 weeks before they leave--one will come inside here, one to the neighbors and new homes for the others. They aren't nursing a whole lot anymore and have been eating solids for 3 weeks.

I just read that 7 weeks wasn't long enough? mine are about 5 weeks, and really don't care for their mother to even be around them. Eating solid foods and playing with BA.. They're ready to go, but do you guys think I need to keep them longer?

Yes at 5 weeks they still need the socialization that they get from Mom and siblings. Even if they aren't nursing... or if they are eating solids and using the litter pan. If you can, please let them develop a little bit more. 8 weeks, IMHO, is the bare minimum,

I love the picture where Sesame is on the little ledge and she is looking up and Mace is watching her like "Sis... what are you doing? You should come down and play. That doesn't look fun." I still
Sesame. And little Pepper looks so fluffy and cute! I think she is going to be really happy with you and Jack and Harley.

Thanks for the sweet comments everyone!

Sesame is just a sweet trouble maker--she is the first to do everything and always in trouble.

I hope little Pepper is happy here! I went shopping for her today and bought an adorable pink collar--she won't wear it a whole lot but the first few months I'll use it to keep track of her in the house (I'll hear the bell). I'm excited to have a girl--but very interested in how the boys will handle it.

Oh my goodness. How did I ever miss this thread? They have gotten so big! And, they are all soooo adorable. I am glad you will get to keep tabs on Mace. He's my favorite.
