We just got our Ragdoll baby last Sunday, he is only 8 weeks old. After much research I had decided on "World's Best Cat Litter" for him. Boy was I wrong. He was having accidents all over the house so I went back on my search. He did not take well the "new" texture. I came across Dr Elsey's products and it was a life saver for me. The first thing Halo did when I added the new litter was jump in his box and do his business. I was in awe. We are using Kitten Attract with extreme success. I thought it would be expensive but it is on sale at Petsmart for around $11.50 plus inside each bag(20lbs) there are $1.00 off coupons, bringing it down quite a bit.
Just figured I would share my discovery. Litter box problems are one of the main reason cats end up in Humane Societies, etc.

That's great to hear!!
I am also a user of Dr. Elsey's, but I use the regular one, "Special cat". I think in a couple of months you are going to be able to switch to that - it's about 1/2 price... IMO it is the best litter around, and the best thing for me is that it is virtually dust free...

There's no place like home
Most people who try Dr. Elsey's litter around here (any of the Cat Attract/Kitten Attract or additives), absolutely love them. I have a bladder issue cat who was reattracted to the litter box once I started to sprinkle the Cat Attract Additive to the existing litter. I'm glad you found a brand that works for you without too much research.

Dr. Elsey is a great vet and has a practice outside of Denver. My friend brings her 4 cats to him. He works with veterinary universities to not only stay up on the latest cat knowledge, but he helps with research projects. He has 4 cats of his own btw.

I am glad I am not alone! Thank you for the replies. And yes, I will switch to Special Cat once Halo gets a little bigger. It is also interesting to read his booklet(comes inside the litter bag) on cat litter and litter boxes. I bought Halo a regular pan and also the Omega Paw. He has yet to use the "enclosed" Omega Paw....he prefers the regular one.
Oh well......who is the boss, right?

And Carolina, btw, I am also a fellow Brazilian

A State of Confusion
I started using Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat litter about 3 months ago and I have become a big fan. I was attracted to it because of its low dust. One of my kitties, Thufir, had been having frequent URI symptoms for the better part of a year and no treatment really seemed to help him. Since switching to Dr. Elsey's, his symptoms have almost entirely disappeared, so I suspect it was an allergic reaction to the dust in the old cat litter. I buy it in the 40 pound bags for $16.50 at PetSmart.
