Morning All!!

Today's question is about baking?

Do you like to bake, and if so what is your favorite item to make?

I like to bake but do have to be in the right mood to do it. I think my favorite recipe to make is Black Forest Cake.

I learn how to make it years ago from a pastry chef at one of the resorts I worked at during summer holidays from school.

The thing about it is it looks so impressive when completed but it is one of the most easy recipes there is.

I sometimes get a craving to bake something...but not all the time. I usually just make muffins or something.

I love to bake. My favorite is probably Italian Cream Cake. Mine finally taste as good as my mom's do!!!

I also like experimenting with cookie recipes. Around Christmas time my freezer is always packed with various cookie doughs!

I do, but since I live by myself, I don't do it too often. I usually wait for a potluck at work and then go crazy.

I have a recipe for Cannoli Cheesecake (sliced almonds, amaretto soaked golden raisins, ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, whipping cream, mini chocolate chips....yummmmm!) I wish we'd hurry up and have a 'worthy' potluck! It's a lot of work, but oh so yummy!

I also like to make German Chocolate Cake, but it has to be from scratch! Those boxed cake mixes are icky, compared to one made from scratch! I also like my recipe for coconut pecan frosting better.

When I get it right though, I do enjoy it

I like to bake. My favourite things are breads and cookies. I most often will bake bread if anything. I have to be in the right mood for baking.

I actually hate to bake - love to cook, hate to bake. But when I set my mind to it, I make pies. Most are from scratch, including the fruit that I pick off my trees. And I think I bought store bought pastry dough once and hated it, so always make that from scratch.

DH and I are picky about our desserts!

I love to bake when I have the time!
I have several favorite recipes: strawberry swirl cheesecake, sugar cookies with cream cheese icing, ranger cookies, lemon loaf w/ lemon icing.

I do like to bake, but it definitely takes a backseat to cooking. I mostly don't get around to it, which is not a bad thing for our waistlines.
However, I do make scones for Saturday brunch sometimes, and pies (usually either apple or pecan) or berry crumbles for desserts. Now that the rhubarb is almost ready, and the local strawberries will be available in a few days, I'm getting not-so-subtle hints about strawberry/rhubarb pie.
