My father really jogged my tired old memory cells earlier today on the phone."Your little kitty looks just like that black stray we brought back with us from Kansas!" Is this how alzheimers begins? God,I dearly hope not!
My first and almost my best Cat Experience was in the 70`s when I was ...uh...having some traveler`s lower intestinal voiding issues....(could`nt go after 3 days on the road). This little black kitten comes over to me and begins purring and rubbing against me--in my moment of agony.Stuff finally happened and having this kitty to pet and focus on took the edge off,I guess.
We took "Ulthar" with us back to California.She was an exceptional cat but finally just up and left home.So that was my earliest positive cat experience.
The name? It`s from an H.P. Lovecraft story entiteled: "The Cats of Ulthar". Read it online probably(?). These are some naughty kitties.
How could I have forgotten this chapter of my life?
