The dog and Ichi

My new dog is too playful with my cats. But as you know, play for a dog means the opposite for a cat. All except Ichi have learned to handle Virac, the 1 and a half year old dog. Ichi has been hiding or staying outside in order to avoid Virac. It's getting so bad, that Ichi goes missing for more than 24 hours. I am teaching the dog to behave around cats and at the same time, when Ichi is looking I have shown him he is more important than the dog. What else should I be doing?
I do not want to lose my Ichi although I suspect my neighbor would not mind him hanging around his place (Ichi goes there for extra treats).

Is it possible to feed them near each other? I was just thinking how two of my cats don't get along (different issue, they just don't like each other) so I decided to feed them side by side. I figured either they'd associate meal time happiness with each other or they'd pester each other but either way I'd get a break from them!
