Sorry you're feeling under the weather, Chris, but it's a very positive thing that you're trying to find things to be positive about, despite how you are feeling.

I just gave two tickets to tomorrows Yankees game to someone I know through working security on my block, loves the Yankees, and hasn't been to the new stadium yet.....
He was very grateful and it made me very happy to give them to him!

I'm thankful for Kieran's Mum because she gave me a very nice, warm winter coat when she knew I couldn't afford a new one but couldn't fit my old one. This was so kind of her and I wear it every day!

I have a 16 y/o male persian who suffers from a heart murmur and kidney failure. I am thankful every day that he is with me. Without this new treatment, he would not be where he is now. It makes me smile to see him play!

I have found someone who likes me for me and makes me laugh every day. I haven't laughed this much since before my mom died.

I smile every time I get to see a hummingbird in my yard. They really are amazing!

I think this is a wonderful thread. I suffer from pain almost on a daily basis, but deal with it the best I can. Amidst all the chaos and strife in our lives, no matter how bad, there is always something good somewhere.

We're on our way today to visit the cemetary where my husband's mom, dad and older brother are buried , with lunch and family reunion afterward.......so I'm thankful that I still have both my mom and my dad (even if they do drive me nuts sometimes, lol!)

I'm thankful that even though they don't work well and cause me alot of pain, that I still have my hands and some use of them...like typing on TCS.

I am thankful to have woken up this morning--in a safe house where I am loved and taken care of. Not everyone has that luxury.

DH made it is safely to TX. I was concerned as there were all sorts of tornado warnings here and his flight was delayed.

What a great idea for a thread! I haven't had much to be happy about the last year and a half, I normally am a very happy person, but since my accident, being in constant pain makes me pretty unpleasant to be around. Especially lately, I just recently got a new job, and its so hard for me to stand all the time when my bad leg hurts as much as it (always) does. I'm so lucky to have my boyfriend and his family, who deal with my newly unpleasant nature on a regular basis. Also I am very, very lucky to have two GORGEOUS cats who love me unconditionally! <333

Anyways, I flew down to Florida on Tuesday, to see my younger brother (I have 5, but I am closest to this brother than the rest) graduate from high school. He paid for the plane ticket, and I am currently on my way home. He is driving me back to Pennsylvania, since he wants to visit our mom for her birthday. I am so grateful for such a wonderful brother, who loves me just as much as I love him <3 I had a great time in Florida with him, seeing our grandparents, and just catching up.

As much fun as I had, and as much as I wanted to stay, I miss my boyfriend and my kitties! I am SOOO looking forward to seeing them! Just thinking about it makes me so excited! I know my bf's family is taking care of them, they are being fed, the litter being scooped, and they always have some one to pay attention to them. But I will be happy when I can see them and will finally be back in charge of their care. I like it done my way, and nobody does it exactly like me.

So, my whole week has been wonderful, despite a falling out with my (not so) best friend, and a few other minor setbacks. My usual frame of mind tells me that I have a horrible life (the only good thing about it is my cats), but I know it could be worse, and others actually have it much, much worse. Spending this week with my family I don't see often, has shown me I have a hell of a lot to be grateful for, and that I should look at things in a more positive light from now on.

I had a wonderful day at work. The little lady I take care of was in a super mood and actually went outside for a while. This is a big deal for her, she rarely wants to go outside. It was a gorgeous day and the animals on the property she lives on were being a lovey to her. It was just great!

Today I am thankful that DH has a job that pays our bills.

I have to be thankful of that, otherwise I will stay upset/angry that he's going away again this week after being gone last week to California. I had just hoped he'd have a few days where he came home for supper...

It's not that I'm angry at him personally, and he knows that. I'm angry with the situation.... this project should have been done a couple months ago... but it is still dragging on. I'm soooo tired of being a single parent.... I did that already, up until we built our house, I was a single mom of 2 for 7yrs. I like having someone else here to help with the kids.

oh and I'm jealous LOL.... he gets to go away from all the home life stuff.

I need a vacation LOL.

But I am thankful he has a secure job, that pays our bills and allowed us to build the house we wanted.

I am thankful for my kitties and the unconditional love that they provide me with today. It sure is nice to come home to head butts and purrs.

Over the river and through the woods...
What a great idea for a thread Chris! I know I'll be checking it out every time I need a warm fuzzy feeling...I have a tendency to dwell on the negative but this really made me think.

My positives:

Little one slept with us again last night. Granted, for the first hour her butt was up against my nose, but then she settled down at the foot of the bed.

One of my Lilies is blooming!!! A gorgeous red one! I still have about 20 that are ready...I really have to find my camera.

I woke up to the most wonderful man in the world and was covered in his kisses and dog kisses. What more could I ask for?

I'm glad you like it, and most others like the idea too.

In this day and age, with so much negative happening (economy, which leads into personal probs, relationship probs, etc) most of us dwell on the negative, without thinking of the positives....which only makes things worse.

I'm glad people are taking the time to "stop and smell the roses".

Dang it.... none of mine have bloomed yet. Hmmm, I'll have to go outside and check, we did have a nice sunny day for Sat. and Sun. Now we're back to dreary days.

I'm happy today because I finally paid off my boyfriend - I only owed him $300 and he did say I didn't have to pay him back but I feel good that I did. Now got to work on the over draft.

I just read that post, Chris.
I'm glad you and DD are both OK! (and the snake too!)
