I'm thankful for the big pot of fresh salsa that is cooking on my stove right now. The bounty of the garden (tomatoes and peppers) is coming in!!

If you are wondering why I'm cooking it - tomatoes freeze well if they cook for about 5 minutes. By the end of the summer, we'll have enough salsa frozen to last us until next year.

I am very thankful and content due to an all around good day.

Hubby went to work at 5, came back at 7:30 to go out for breakie with me and DD.

- heard from a friend who I've been worried about

- Me and DD went swimming
- chilled on the balcony reading for a bit
- went to do some shopping, cuz mom
forgot to pack some items
- came back, went for another swim
- watched a movie
- another swim
- went out for dinner with DH
- chilled back at the motel.
- DD went to bed, and DH is doing some work stuff, and I'm
and watching tv.

Its been a wonderful day.

I'm thankful the work day is over. I was stuck in a conference from from 8-5 with 30 other people, then I did a quick hours work to catch up on e-mails for the day, then off to dinner with those 30 people, then home to take a conference call. I left for work at 7AM this morning and I'm just quitting at 9:40 at night.

The positive in all of this is that I'm being given work that fits my capabilities again. Yes, it makes for some long days, but I'm actually being challenged by it for a change.

I'm thankful we're going home tomorrow, I miss the kitties

Could you send them around to my house when they finish picking up at your house?

I'm positive today because my new appliances arrived, my dinner plate hibiscus has one bloom all the way out and several more starting - just magnificent. I'm doing golf and dinner with my 3 friends tomorrow - what more could I ask for!

ETA: And it's Friday! Woo-Hoo!

that make me happy. But there are sooooo many! So I will just say, I am happy for the health of my family, that I get to see my kids and grandkids all the time, of the teasing that goes on between me and my kids. Taking my grandkids for walks in the woods behind our house and telling them scary stories. Just standing back and watching them all play and run amok outside! My husband who literally tells me he loves me at least 20 times a day. A warm happy house with my 11 cats who are all healthy and happy. I guess just "thanks God for a wonderful life".

I got to talk to my sister last night, and she is about 2 weeks ahead of schedule for healing from her hip replacement surgery.

And as an added bonus, while I was taking care of her for that week, I did some really strong mentoring for her about her dog. A 12 year old beagle who has arthritis, skin allergies, and emotional issues. I set her up with Feliway for dogs, got him off the junk food that he lived on all his life, and got him on joint health supplements. He's already remarkably better after 2 weeks - stopped chewing his legs, stopped barking at anything walking buy, sleeps a lot better, and is no longer afraid to walk across her floors (he was walking backwards when I arrived at her house). I made a convert of my sister about healthy life styles and the dog is doing better than he has in all his 12 years.

I'm happy today because I went shopping!

It doesn't matter that it was kitty litter, flea treatment, cat food and prizes for my club's show. I still went shopping and what better way to spend my money on my beautiful felines.

I'm thankful that DH finished his trade apprenticeship today and we'll have his extra health benefits kicking in soon. Yay new glasses!

I'm also thankful that Cotton's thyroid levels are back to normal...so his meds are working.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I'm just glad the most painful quarter of school life (in recent years) is now done. I did so well my two previous terms, but with real life butting in at every turn, this summer really bit it. A lot went down that isn't appropriate for this thread (trying to stay positive). But I'm glad it's over.

I'm glad i also figure one personal issue out (probably not something anyone here would 'get'), and finally got some sorting of stuff done in the bedroom. I pulled everything off the floor at the foot of the bed (boxes and bags of stuff from moving), and moved the two tall/wide IKEA Billy bookcases into place. Eventually, I'll get doors on them... the fabric will go in them... well, as much as will fit. I guess I have a lot of sewing to do, huh?

Oh yeah... and i finally got my bike fixed!! I have to lower the seat, since he set it WAY too high, but I can handle that. I just need to find my tools... heh heh heh... right.

I had a few good things, I guess...

Amanda

This week I've been having a very hard time thinking of anything positive.

I'm thankful my hubby came home early and took tomorrow off work.

I am so thankful for a couple good friends helping me out, checking in on me this week. It is appreciated more than words can express
