Today was actually a good day. I am thankful my daughter can come to me with her thoughts, I'm thankful only 2 more sleeps and hubby's home, and I'm thankful I quit smoking on June 8th....
Feels so good to be free of the nicotine demon

Mollysmom: how is your mom doing? I hope she is recovering well

I had the same thing... from a mass email discussion going on over on Facebook, a private conversation ensued and I found I could block someone on Facebook without them ever knowing I did it... I did on Myspace as well. I have an ex-bf who was abusive and who occasionally tracks me down online... to the point i don't put my real last name online (well, as little as humanly possible). Since finding his butt and blocking him on both sites last night, I feel SOOOO much better... kind of like the Ignore button... he won't be able to find me on either site. it's a good thing.

it's a positive moment in my life, knowing he'll have a difficult time tracking me there...

YAY for ignore/block functions to rid ourselves of poisonous people...

I'm thankful because I'm having a little kitty come and stay with me for a little while. I'm thankful also because I am NOT tempted to keep that little kitty.

Slowly.

Part of my issue is that I have no where to put the boxes!! I also discovered today what happens when I miss an acupuncture appt. (not my own doing, they goofed). Ow. But I'm going tomorrow.

To keep this positive, I did finish redesigning the website for our local science fiction fan club. the group has been floundering for a few years now and my friend Sue and I decided to both run for President (together, on purpose)... she got Prez, and I got VP (that's how the voting system works in the group, second most votes gets VP). We're going to get the group off of 'life support' and get it active again... So I also yanked the badly outdated website down a month ago and have been slowly working on it. Well, I got it back up Saturday, amidst attempts to pack boxes.

Two weeks until the move. God help me. I'm not taking any time off before the move to finish packing...

But the move will be healthy. it'll be tough, but healthy. smaller place, but better neighborhood... I cannot wait.

I am thankful to finally be single and able to live the life I want to live rather than the life "he" thought I should live. I'm the happiest I've been in a long time.

I finally got enough cash saved up to get my new cat room finished.
The girls are loving it. They get to go "outdoors" any time they want and still be safe.

I am thankful for life. It may not be great, it may not be perfect or easy, it may not be happy all the time, and it hurts in all ways at times, but it does beat the alternative.

I am thankful that I am emotional, even if it means hurting alot....it sure beats not experiencing love, bonds, friendships, etc.

Gary sums it up with his latest, when people ask how he's doing: "I'm on the right side of the dirt!"

OK - so it doesn't put it as well or as meaningfully as you have....

I'm happy because we had fun running errands this morning.

I'm happy because I got lots and lots of cuddles with my 7 month old kitten, Tales, this morning. My Nana pulled up in her car and I took Tales out and she loves seeing people. She's so cute.

I'm happy too because I decided to miss one cat show in August that I was going to go to. It will save me $400!
Which will pay for my cars WOF & rego.

Apparently my store is doing well enough in this tough economy that they gave a 3% raise across the board to all employees.... it'll start showing in the next paycheck.

Yes, we've had our slow and tough days, folks getting sent home a little early, understaffing and all... but we're still kicking butt. we give excellent customer service and our customers leave happy, 90% of the time. We're weathering this storm... and they're showing their appreciation for us being there by giving us raises...

Congrats on the raise!

I'm super happy today because today is the day I go wedding dress shopping!
Two of my friends, and both my mom and his mom will be coming up today. I think his mom might be bringing his niece too so I'll be happy to see her as well.

Also, FH got into the mortuary college he wanted to get into. He starts at the end of August. I'm so happy for him!

I will be taking part in the women's Race for Life event tomorrow, and helping to raise money for Cancer Research. I will be walking the 5k with a group of friends, and we just hope the weather holds out for us during the day.

Wish me luck!

You have that in the UK too?

We have Relay for Life here, for cancer research too. My daughter participated this year.... (it's an overnight event here, 12hr relay)

Good luck, I hope the weather holds out...and good for you for doing this.

I'm thankful for it being a nice day outside, and having some quiet time to myself this morning.
