I still feel bad, even though it has been several hours since this happened. I got up from my arm chair in the lounge to get a video and when I sat back down I forgot to check for my cat and sat on her! Luckily I did not completely sit on her, only a little bit. I don't think I hurt her but she ran away and would come near me for a while. She seems fine now though, and is happily snoozing away on top of my computer.

I can't believe I always squashed her. Being overweight, me sitting on the poor baby completely could've killed her. I will now ALWAYS check ANYWHERE before I sit down.

Has anyone else ever almost un-intentionally hurt their pet in a silimlar way?

Goodness I feel awful.

Mine get squashed on a daily basis!
Taz has a habit of running behind us just as we are going to sit down on the couch. The first couple of times we weren't aware this was a new game for her- now we are and we are careful when we sit down.

I am sure she will forgive you-

Yep with a house full of kittens near accidents are common. I now lock the doors when the kittens are loose while I watch them to prevent any future accidents.

We have one kitten that was stepped on. His progress is in the Health and Nutrition forums under the thread "Kitten Stepped On!" I have told my children a million times not to come into the room while the kittens are out. Being Teens they think I have no clue. Now I just lock them out of the room.

Cats are soooo much easier to raise than kids!!
