I don't drink soda pop. I drink Club soda with lemon juice.

recently I decided to stop drinking so much sodium so I started drinking bottled water.

I keep them in the fridge of course, but I've taught Tinker something I shouldn't have.

Now, whenever I open a new bottle (only if it's really cold). Tinker jumps up and puts her paws on my arm until I tip the lid over, fill it with water and let her drink it. She likes 4 or 5 cap fulls. but again, only if it's ice cold.

and of course she slurps water all over the place. but I must say, it's the cutest thing to watch her do it

Thats funny.
When mine were little, I would get them fresh water everyday but instead they were always sticking their paws and tongues in my ice cold glass.

So I started making them cold glasses of water, too. To this day thats what they drink, cold, cold water, out of glasses, set up in various places, all over the house. They wont touch it out of a bowl or any thats on the floor. It has to be cold, a glass and up high. Im not going to even get into what kind of water I buy for them.

LOL! My cats love to lick ice cubes so I know what you mean by the cold water. I drop a couple on the floor when I'm cooking and they enjoy batting them around. And why stop? It's good for them and they are so adorable.

I'm going to guess a lot of you Moms out there spoil your babies as much as I do because they are just so darn cute!

My Aya, at some point decided she would no longer drink water from her dish despite the fact its changed 2 times a day. She's always followed me into the bathroom to shower. Now she stands on the bathroom sink and mews at me and paws my arm, till I turn on the tap for her.
Now she will only drink this way which is turning into a tall order now that its getting hot around here.

My kitty wont drink out of bowls either, just glasses or cups. She will, reluctantly, drink them from the floor, but mommy found out that is not a great place to keep them after spilling far too many with her klutzy feet.
So she now has decided her favorite is MY favorite campbells soup cup, *sigh* which I keep on the only table in the place for her (studio apt)
Still doesn't stop her from stealing my water though.

Now that the weather is turning warmer - when I go look after our storefront kitties at PetSmart.... when I prepare the pitcher of fresh water for them, I take the ice cube trays out of the freezer in the employees break room and put them in the water! Nice and cold ... and fresh and the ice cubed water provides entertainment!
